Part of the first set of My Little Pony/Magic: The Gathering cards, I decided to make.

Hehe, this card is sorta a tribute to one of my fave MLP fanfic's of all time, the 'Luna vs.' series. Go check it out if you haven't read it, it's basically what made this practically fanon.

Actually it's called Progress, though each chapter is a "Luna vs. something", and I like this idea

from chapter 4:"Hoyden, I saw her put it (her abacus) in its own little bed, tuck it in, and read it a bedtime story."

about 3/4 of the way through Chapter 5: "Also Hoyden, what is a Three----?" "Is it some sort of social ritual?" "And why do you wish to have it with Sundance and me?" XD

Probably undercosted, considering it's Lotus Cobra: the artifact for 1 less, but it taps to make mana.

"Landfall - Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, put a charge counter on Luna's Abacus.
T, Remove all charge counters from Luna's Abacus: Add one mana of any colour to your mana pool for each charge counter removed this way."

Probably too powerful. My gut instinct is to nerf it by only letting you remove one charge counter at a time, essentially turning it into a mediocre lotus cobra.

Pah-what? This is INSANELY powerful with fetchlands.
T1 Land, Luna's abacus.
T2 Fetch, spell for 2.
T3 Fetch, 7 cost spell, opponent scoops immediately.

A few differences between this and Lotus Cobra. First, this is colorless. That means any deck can play it. Second, it costs one less, meaning you get an extra turn of ramp. Third, you can save up counters on this, and not on Lotus Cobra. And Lotus Cobra is STILL one of the most powerful creatures in standard.

Oh, I know there are differences. As I said, I agree that this is overpowered. I'm just saying, people had the EXACT same thought process (Cobra + fetches = turn three Ultimatum!) when Cobra was revealed, but the hype soon wore off. And Cobra is far from one of the most powerful creatures in standard. Powerful, yes. But not one of the most powerful.
